I am disguised in the guise of myself. Black and white simplifies the formal qualities of the work and heightens the dichotomies of figure and ground, highlighting the invisible plane where the two meet and exchange roles. Because black and white exists only in the realm of images, this palette separates the "world of art" from the one our corporeal bodies must invariably inhabit.
These were my first images of my body camouflaging into a self-created space.
