Abstract forms and emotionally charged gestures defined by line. Lines of my real hair, printed hair, the folds of my body. My skin barely distinguished from the surface of the paper itself. The world enters and leaves an imprint on the body. What does it mean to be faceless?
I drew upon this imagery later in creating the performance Hairbody.
